1 When the ELCA voted down same sex blessings in the Lutheran church and refused to ordain gay lesbian
and transgendered persons it hurt me. The church council voted down the RIC

6 None thankfully. But I do not like the churches invented to accept homosexuality. If that is not what
Chrisitianity is about then these "new" churches need to separate and have a new religion which is the
last thing, however, that is needed.
8 I had a friend who was disowned when he was 16 years old for being gay.

11 Roman Catholic church teaches I am inherently flawed and in a state of sin if I engage in certain
behaviors. I do not believe I am a "freak" of nature.

13 Oh yea! When church leaders preach that gay is bad - feels bad! Mostly its been indirect but several
directly affected me.
14 Yes, People have judged me or started preaching at me when they learn certain aspects of me. When
Christians preach AT me I feel they do not care about me as a person but only want to get their opinion
aired - Big turn off.

-The Catholic Church hurt our financial security when they pressured my husband to resign from his
music director position.

thinking for themselves. It is another way people put others down and elevate themselves.

with the suppressive hate being portrayed as Godly and I am not even gay. I simply didn't want to
even be associated with it any more.
