Justification Regeneration and Adoption
This happens when a person comes to faith in Christ (also called "born again" and / or "initial sanctification")
Justification: This is a legal change of position where the individual’s sins are forgiven. It is just as if they never sinned. (Romans 3:22-24, 5:1, Acts 13:39)
Regeneration: To be regenerated means that the person’s heart is spiritually quickened to receive Christ. (Ezekiel 36:25-27, Romans 2:29)
Adoption: means that the person is adopted into the family of God (John 1:12)
